Day 01 - Arrive Kathmandu
Day 02 - Full day sight seeing of Kathmandu, Patan and Swoyambhunath.
Day 03 - Kathmandu to Dunche

Day 05 - Syabru to Lama Hotel
Day 06 - Lama Hotel to Langtang
Day 07 - Langtang to Kyanhjing Gompa

Day 10- Syabru to Sing Gompa
Day 11 - Sing Gompa to Gosain Kund
Day 12 - Gosain Kund to Ghopte
Day 13 - Ghopte to Kutumsang
Day 14 - Kutumsang to Chisapani
Day 15 - Chisapani to Kathmandu
Day 16 - Full day sight seeing of Bhaktapur, Pashupatinath and Boudhanath.
Day 17 - Transport to the airport for the final departure.

Itinerary Detail

Day 01 – Upon your arrival at the airport, our representative will transfer you over to the Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure. Trip briefing in the evening.

 Day 02 - A day sightseeing around the Kathmandu city. It includes Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the temple of living Goddess the Kumari. You visit Kasthamandap, The famous temple built from a single tree from which Kathmnadu derives her name. A short drive takes you to Swayambhunath: the oldest Buddhist Shrine, located to the west of Kathmandu city on the hill. After lunch In the afternoon you will be taken to the city of Patan, an ancient city for fine art. The King Vira Deva built it in the year 299 AD. Its renowned for fine arts in Copper, silver and bronze. Sometime called ‘the city with a thousand golden roofs.' The city remains a center for craftsmen and artists who are anxious to protect the tradition. We also visit the Tibetan handicraft center to watch the weavers weaving fine quality rugs. Then back to the hotel for overnight.

Day 03 – Kathmandu to Dunche (1950 m)
You leave the hotel after your breakfast and drive north west of Kathmandu. You will stop at Trishuli for lunch, which is about 5 hours drive from Kathmandu and drive further for another 3 hours to Dunche for over night.

Day 04 – Dhunche to Syabru (2130 m)
Passing through the Langtang National Park headquarter, Agricultural Project and small trading center at Dunche, the trail descends northeast towards Trishuli Khola through Bharkhu. Climbing through a pleasant oak, pine and rhododendron forested ridge, you reach a ridge about 7550 ft. from where you see the first spectacular view of Langtang valley. Langtang Lirung (23766 ft.). Ganesh Himal and some northern snow Peaks, including the Tibete’s ranges are also visible. After making a short descent from the ridge you reach Syabru a beautiful Tamangi village strung out along a ridge. So it will take about 5-6 hours from Dhunche to Syabru.

Day 05 – Syabru to Lama Hotel (2380 m)
Today the trial will be very interesting as it passes through the thick Bomboo and Rhododendron forest. It will be the best day for Birders. First the trail descends along the ridge to Langtang Khola for about 2 hours. No human inhabitants but you will find few teahouse on the way. It is equally rich in bird life and animals like deers, leopards, bears and monkeys. After having lunch at bamboo – Hotel you cross the northern bank of the Langtang Khola. Continuing up the valley through the thick rhododendron and prickly leaves oak forest the valley widens out, and brings to the Lama Hotel for camp. You will be walking about 6 hours in total.

Day 06 – Lama Hotel to Langtang (3500 m)
After a gradual climb above the river on the northern side of the Langtang Khola for about 3 hours you will reach Ghore Tabela for lunch. At Ghore Tabela you will pass the Royal Army Post after lunch. Continuing up the valley for another 2 hours, you will cross the tributary. And another 40 minutes will brings you to the Langtang Village. While you are there you can explore the village & its Gompas. The valley is beautiful in summer, which is noted for its birds and flowers.

Day 07 – Langtang to Kyangjing Gompa (3800m)
As you continue the trail winds through the village and climbs on to a ridge dominated by the long row of Mani Walls. It then climbs gradually past the small villages of Manu and Singdom. Continuing through the Yak pastures as the valley becomes broader, then you cross the wooden bridge and climb a moraine where you finally see Kyangjing Gompa. It is easy to reach Kyangjin Gompa before lunch, allowing time to acclimatizes and explore the surroundings.

Day 08 – Kyangjing Gompa to Lama Hotel
Return to Lama Hotel.

Day 09 – Lama Hotel to Syabru
From Lama hotel to Syabru the trail is scenic overlooking the green valley along the Langtang Khola.

Day 10 – Syabru to Sing Gompa (3350 m)
From Syabru once you left the place you climb passing the Gompa, school and army post and switchback up the hill above the village. The trail eventually ends at pleasant place called Dursang for lunch from where you can see the magnificent view of the Ganesh Himal and part of Annapurna Range. After your lunch the trail continues for another 2 hours less steeply, mostly through the pine forest to Sing Gompa is main attraction for Chandan Bari and also has few hotels and a Cheese factory. The Gompa is not well cared for; the caretakers open the Gompa for small fees.

Day 11 – Sing Gompa to Gossain Kund (4380 m)
The trail climbs steeply up the ridge. After the ridge the trail crosses behind and stays in the deep forest for a while and you will enter the Gosain Kund protected area. As the trail ascends, there are outstanding views of cross Langtang Valley to Langtang Lirung. Along Lauribina.

As you ascend up Lauribina the views are just magnificent – you can see Annapurnas, Manaslu, Gansesh Himals, unnamed Tibetan Mountains and finally Langtang Lirung. Continue up the alpine county to the ridge at the elevation of 4100m. The trail climbs further to view the first of lakes, Saraswoti Kund. After the trail climb gently towards the Gosain Kund you also pass the Bhairab Kund before the ridge and the trail drops down 20 meters to the third and the largest lake, Gosain Kund, at an elevation of 4830 metres. Every year in the month of August, full moon day, thousands of pilgrims and devotees come to the sacred lake to take holy bath in devotion to Lord Shiva. According to the legend, Lord Shiva thrusting his trident, into the glacier to obtain water to quench his thirst, caused by consuming some poison, creates the lake.

Day 12 – Gosain Kund to Ghopte (3430 m)
The trail Gosain Kund to Ghopte passes north side of the Lake and you will climb further through the rugged country towards the pass. Passing three more small beautiful lakes, you will finally reach Lauribina Pass at 4610m. From the pass the trail descends along side a stream to Phedi for lunch. Across the valley, you can see a ridge with a steep trail at an angle of 45 degree. Yes, this is where you are going. From this ridge, you descend through the forest, climbing in and out of rivinesto reach Thare Danda. In 3 hours from your lunch spot, you will reach Ghopte on one of the ridges where you see the temporary settlement.

Day 13 – Ghopte to Kutumsang (2438 m)
AS you descend down the ridge at Ghopte, the trail continues up ravines and across the boulders, then make the final ascend to Tharepati. It takes you about 11/12 hours to reach Tharepati at 3490m. The trails from Tharepati all the way to Kathmandu is downhill except in couple of places. Another 5 hours downhill takes you to Kutumsang.

Day 14 – Kutumsang to Chisapani (2181m)
From Kutumsang you can easily reach to Chisapani in about 6 hours via Gulbhanjyang. The view from Chisapani is spectacular enough to justify a night here.

Day 15 – Chisapani to Kathmandu (1030 m)
The trail will take you to Mulkharka the first village on the trail from Sundarijal is the sprawling Tamang settlement at an elevation of 1895m. Passing Pathibhanjyang and Boran Bhanjyang for lunch. After having lunch you will walk about an hour and half to reach Sundarijal, elevation 1350 m. There is a large water project that supplies much of Kathmandu’s drinking water in an immense pipe.

Day 16 - A day Sightseeing
Sightseeing of Kathmandu valley's the most medieval city Bhaktapur also known as Bhadgaon. There are ancient temples and Palaces of Windows, etc. It shows the Newar craftsmanship of intricately carved windows and latticework. You also visit the Lion Gate and Picture Gallery. and then to Pashupatinath Temple and Boudhanath.

Day 17 – Transfer to TIA for final departure.
