Itinerary Detail

Kathmandu/ Chitwan/ Pokhara - 8 nights / 9 days Tour (Golden Triangle)

Day 01 - Arrive TIA, meeting and transfer to Hotel Yak & Yeti or similar.

Welcome Dinner at one of the finest and exclusive Nepali restaurants in Kathmandu City serves the very best of traditional culture program and ethnic cuisine of Nepal. Located within the heart of Kathmandu with intricate décor, subtle settings and nostalgic atmosphere.....

Day 02 - Full day sightseeing of Kathmandu City including Durbar Square, Hanuman Dhoka, the temple of the Living Goddess. You also visit Kasthamandap - a temple built from a single tree from which Kathmandu derives her name. A short drive takes you to Swoymbhunath; the oldest Buddhist shrine, located on small hill to the west of Kathmandu City, Looking east, one sees the entire Kathmandu valley spread out below.

After lunch sightseeing of Patan - an ancient city of fine arts. The city was founded in 250 A.D. Renowned for its fine arts in Bronze, Silver and Copper sometimes called "The town with a thousand golden roofs". This city remains a center for craftsmen and artists anxious to preserve its tradition. We also visit the Tibetan handicraft center for watching people weaving the beautiful, fine quality rugs. Drive back to your hotel.

Day 03 - Post breakfast drive to Chitwan National Park (180kms, Approx. 5hrs. drive).
The Chitwan National park lies in the Terai region of southern Nepal and is reputed to be the best managed National in Asia. It encompasses an area of 360 square miles of sub - tropical forests comprising of grasslands, Sal forests and riverine forests. The diversity of this luxuriant vegetation provides the ideal habitat for the over 53 different kinds of mammals and the 525 different species of birds which have made Chitwan their home. Overnight at Jungle Lodge near the Park.
In the evening Tharu Cultural Show, and briefing about next day's program.

Day 04 - Early morning elephant back safari and then back to resort for Breakfast. Till lunch free for individual activities. PM jeep drive into deep forest about 3 hours subject to available, other wise another Elephant Safari for two hours. Then back to resort.

Day 05 - Early morning elephant back safari for an hou, Post breakfast drive to Pokhara (160kms, Approx. 3 - 4 hrs. drive), overnight at Fishtail Lodge or Choosen one.

Pokhara - a name evocative of peace, serenity and astounding beauty, against the spectacular backdrop of the Annapurna range, with the imposing massif of Machhapuchre, the Fishtail peak, dominating the scenery: Fewa Tal, the placid lake of Pokhara, combine to offer an ambience few places in the world can offer. Evening boating in Fewa Lake for an hour.

Day 06 - Morning drive to Sanrangkot, to view Sunrise and drive back to hotel for breakfast. Post breakfast sightseeing of Pokhara including World Peace Stupa, Davis Fall, Gupteswor mahadev Cave.

Day 07 - Post breakfast drive to Kathmandu (200 kms, Approx 6 hrs. drive), overnight at your hotel.

Day 08 - we visit the medieval city of Bhaktapur, also known as Bhadgaon. It is situated about 17 kms east of Kathmandu and was one of the three kingdoms of the Mallas. Here we shall visit the Lion Gate, picture Gallery, beautifully embellished golden gate and 17th century palace of Fifty-five Windows. The city's ancient temples and palaces are magnificent examples of Newari craftsmanship with their beautiful carved wooden windows and latticework, and Bhaktapur's people are still renowned for their pottery and hand-woven Fabrics, including the traditional local red and black saris.

If time permits then, we visit Pashupati Nath - Pashupatinath Temple, famous for its superb architecture, two-tiered golden roof and silver doors. Built in 1696 and dedicated to Lord Shiva, Pashupatinath is the most sacred of Nepal's Hindu temples and a famous pilgrimage site.

Day 09: Transfer to TIA for Final Departure.
